Roswell, NM
Roswell is located in southeast New Mexico. Home to about 45,000 people, Roswell is most well know for the alleged UFO incident in 1947.
The incident actually took place around 75 miles from Roswell, and involved a farmer finding some strange debris in a field. The media and locals speculated it as an alien spacecraft, while the United States government maintains that it was a downed weather balloon. The unidentified materials were taken from the crash site and the shipped to either Carswell Air Force Base or Hangar 18 at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio.
