Hidden Campsite
This campsite is located between the Black Mailbox and Gravel Parking. The advantage of this site is that it is easily accessible, yet hidden from HWY 375–so you will get an excellent view of the night skies, without anyone bothering you, and with better night vision as lights from the nearby roadway are not as bad as at the Black Mailbox.
You will still need to be prepared with water and gas as this location is at least 20 miles away from civilization. And you may need a high-clearance vehicle to follow the short dirt road to the site.
Directions: Take Hwy 375 to Lincoln County mile marker 31.3, where an unmaintained dirt road intersects with the Highway. If you are traveling North West, you should see a small hill to the right of the road. Follow the road to the back of the hill where you will find a suitable camp site.
