It is located in Tarrant County, Texas, about 5 miles northwest of Fort Worth, Texas.

Carswell, and was named after Medal of Honor recipient Major Horace S. Carswell, Jr.
There are also conflicting reports that the debris from the Roswell crash were taken to Hangar 18 at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio.
